Filming 'Artists don't Bite' in Maidstone, Kent
Based in Rochester, Margherita is an independent video-media artist, writer, director and producer of short films. Her confident and playful style of street film feature interactions with people, exploring themes of culture, identity, gender and environment.
Since graduating, Margherita’s work has won the Emergeandsee Film Festival in Berlin, been selected at the prestigious Raindance Festival and was shown as part of the 60th Cannes Film Festival.

Her exhibitions include a collective at the Whitechapel, a video installation in Rochester Cathedral and a solo gallery exhibition in Barcelona.
Margherita was recently awarded a grant from Arts Council England for ‘Interview: Artists Don’t Bite’, a site-specific commission for Maidstone Borough Council. Her future ambitions are to shoot her new short film 'Rude English for Beginners' and an installation-video project, set in Medway, in the run up to the 2012 Olympics.
